Habitat: Rice fields.
Mode of life: Nektobenthic (swimmer).
Reproductive mode: Asexual.
Known distribution: Kanagawa Prefecture (Smith et al. 2023).
Remarks: This species is currently only known from rice fields in Ishikawa, Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture. However, most species of Sarscypridopsis are from Africa, and the morphologically closest species to this one is from Botswana. It therefore may not be native to Japan.
