Ecology near paddy-fields (Habu 1973d, Yahiro et al. 1992), ponds (Habu 1973d), wetlands (Habu 1973d), flatland (Inoue 1977e), firm field (Inoue 1977e), paddy levee (Inoue 1977e), waterside (Inoue 1977e), riverbed (Terada 1983), fig orchard (Ishitani and Yano 1994, Ishitani 1996), rape field (Ishitani 1996), beach (Shiyake 1999), paddy field (Yahiro 2007, Kagawa 2008), pasture (Kagawa 2008), orchard (Kagawa 2008), coppice forest (Kagawa 2008), some adults were reared from the 24th of May to the 1st of June (Habu 1973d), phototaxis (Inoue 1977e), collected by light trapping (Yahiro 1997, Yahiro 2007)
