Three (sub-) species have been reported from Korea:

1. Cavernocypris coreana coreana (McKenzie, 1972)

Habitat: Caves.
Mode of life: Subterranean.
Reproductive mode: Sexual.
Known distribution: Yeongweol, Gangwon Province, Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, Samcheog, Gangwon Province (McKenzie 1972).

2. Cavernocypris coreana elongata (McKenzie, 1972)

Habitat: Caves (McKenzie 1972), seeps and river gravels (Chang et al. 2012).
Mode of life: Subterranean/interstitial.
Reproductive mode: Both sexual and asexual populations have been reported (McKenzie 1972; Chang et al. 2012).
Known distribution: Koesan, North Chungcheong Province, Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province, Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province (McKenzie 1972), Gangreung, Gangwon Province, Yeongdeok-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, Uljin-gun, North Gyeongsang Province (Chang et al. 2012).

3. Cavernocypris danielopoli Smith & Kamiya, 2017

Mode of life: Subterranean/interstitial.
Reproductive mode: Only females have been found, suggesting it is an asexual species.
Known distribution: Gosu Cave (Yongsugol), Gosu-ri, Danyang-eup, Dangyang-gun County, Chungcheongbuk-do Province, and Gossi Cave, Yeongweol-gun County, Gangwondo Province, South Korea.
